A Gloomy Day

How is it possible that my desktop weather toolbar shows me:
Now in Wellington, partly cloudy, 16 degrees Celcius, Wind South at 5 m/s

When...sitting next to my window in my apartment on the 13th floor, it is raining outside with dark gloomy clouds? Sigh...the weather outside makes me depressed. Want so much to take a picture of our "great" weather in Wellington for you to see, but I left my camera in Leesa's place during our ICF Committee meeting two days ago. It's so hard to blog without my camera...not visualisation of my words..

Ah well, at least it's still the holidays for me till next Monday. YAY!! Ooh..have I mentioned that I have no classes BEFORE 11am and Wednesdays are off for me?!?!?! I just sooooo love my timetable this Semester..but bummer is that gonna spend my whole life in RH LT1 again. Double bummer...

And to Wern Jing...No, my poem is not be interpreted as love from human to human. Reading it that way makes the first two stanze really pervy okie?

Where Had My Day Gone?!?!

It was a going to be a very eventful day. Woke up at 9am (go figure, I can't seem to sleep past 9 anymore...what has happened to me?) and prepared myself for a long morning ahead.

10.30am: ASB Manners Mall to activate my FastSaver Account
11.30am: Meet Andrew and Leesa at Mount St. Cafe and Bar to discuss the ICF activities for the first part of Semester 1 2006.
1.30pm: To National Bank to enquire of archive statements for ICF Accounting purposes

The walk from Stafford House to ASB Manners took me half an hour. I assumed that since the weather was so good, it was going to be such a great walk and it was...till I had to travel from Manners to University. As always, I would use the cable car on the way up to Uni...but NOOOOO!!!! Two buses of tourists composed of elderly senior citizens from some retirement village had to choose the same time as me to go up the cable car. The line to the cable car stretched from the cable car entrance to McDonald's outside... The decision was to:
A. Line up
B. Walk up to Uni via The Terrace

Yes, option B was chosen...and I walked up The Terrace via a lift from PricewaterHouse Towers. It was not desirable to line up behind a long line of senior citizens who would talk to me at first sight and try to ask me to tell my entire life story to them...I ain't unfriendly, but kinda rushing for a meeting okie? Although I took a lift up...the walk still managed to take my breath out. I do admit...I think I need to be more fit . Looking at the pics taken with Fiona and gang at Te Papa and before that at Waikanae Beach...it is time for me to go on an exercise and healthy eating regime. I blame all my fats and lack of stamina on working for Deloitte for two months. All those muching and non-exercise due to overtime work and sitting down in front of my laptop everyday does take its toll on me via an increased waistline and weaker muscles. Yup, must discipline myself from today. Gonna make myself look good..mwa hahaha.

After visiting NBNZ for ICF, I met Ting Ting at the entrance of SUB...was so excited to see her! Haven't seen her for the whole summer break. Met Sock Kwan too while waiting for Ting Ting to complete her enrolment so we could go out for lunch..Sock Kwan now has curled hair and she looks so refreshing...not like her ol' blur look anymore (Ooops..don't get offended yeah). Good on you Sock Kwan!!! Hahaha..but then, we gonna live so near to each other this year...so gonna be my luck to see the refreshed you more often now.

After lunch, we went grocery shopping and I managed to finally buy a microwave rice cooker. Due to the fact my other flatmates are rarely eating rice, I had not eaten rice for a week as there wasn't a rice cooker available and I do not really know how to cook rice in a pot. So happy...gonna have rice tonight. Yes, I am a "fan tong"...any objections?

That was my day...it passed so fast. So happy that all my friends are back! Gonna be another blast this semester as we are now living so close to each other. Almost all the JPA students are in my hall anyways and currently just waiting for Ching Wen to arrive into Wellington tommorrow...for our new Mahjong set. Yes...Ching Wen bought us a new Mahjong set from Malaysia. So excited...can't wait to "wash my hands", "build walls" and "throw tiles"..*grins* Mahjong kakis....UNITE!

Current Mood? Happy and contented coz I had a great day

Gonna go watch movie at Ting Ting's place tonight coz she has quite a few VCDs from Malaysia...hehehe.

A Kindle is All I Need...

In the darkness, I grope and search

Feeling lost and tired...I crumble
Where art thou when I need Thee the most
Why is Thy presence not with me
How may I find Thee when Thou art far away

Fading...
The light fades away as darkness overwhelms
And yet...crumbling down...I believe
I believe a spark will kindle
I believe a light shall shine
I believe You will reach for me...in the end

For a day shall come, a moment shall pass
When that spark shall set my world ablaze
And light shall encompass all I am
For I have protected that spark
A spark that is found...and found in You alone
A spark of hope upon a wick of faith
That burns forevermore...

Hope is what I seek, Faith is what I need and Trust is what I have to give
